OPTICOACOUSTICI was founded by Mr. George Karapanagiotis in 1986. This year, 2014, OPTICOACOUSTICI celebrates 28 years of existence and boasts a vast knowledge base and experience.

It is a modern unit of high standards in the field of BROADCAST – VIDEO - DVD, established in 1986 to meet the needs then faced by production companies in the technical part of videocassette duplication and subtitling. The quality, the low prices and the consistency of our work have established us in the home video market.

In 1989, the increasing market needs along with the challenging vision of the private television, led us to expand our business towards the television sector.

In 2000, entering the new millennium, OPTICOACOUSTICI proceeded in a broader investment plan in order to be ready for the new television platforms and the challenge of the Athens 2004 Olympic Games. We acquired our own modern 1,100 m2 premises and expanded our activities in DVD authoring, DVD-CD duplication & offset colour printing, DVB, BMP, VBI, subtitling and multimedia services.

In 2003, we expanded our activities into dubbing and recording, performed in 4 state-of-the-art sound processing studios. We work with all state channels and most privately-owned ones, offering services in dubbing, subtitling, transcoding, post production, DVD authoring etc.

In 2004, the company expanded in CD/DVD production with the installation and use of special automated robotic equipment for CD/DVD duplication and printing. We also became the Greek representatives of the Verity Systems robotic equipment, with more than satisfactory sales to date.

2005 was a landmark year for company activities as it received an ISO 9001 certification for all operations concerning production, processing and replication of television programs and films into DVDs and videocassettes. Furthermore, the establishment of the new marketing department, heralded a step into the advertising market and the media.

At the end of 2005, OPTICOACOUSTICI performed the biggest investment in its nearly 20-year long history, acquiring advanced technical equipment for CD / DVD-5,-9,-10 replication, comprising SINGULUS pressing equipment a METRONIC optical disc printing device, GIMA packaging equipment and DATARIUS CD/DVD quality control equipment. During 2006, the company expanded its production facilities, acquiring a new flexible CD/DVD replication production line with SINGULUS Moldpro brand new pressing equipment alongside with KENNY and OTARI packaging equipment. All of the above, allow our company to produce 75,000 optical discs on a daily basis.

In the beginning of 2007, OPTIKOACOUSTICI founded a brand new 3D/2D animation and compositing department, investing in new hardware and manned by a new team of expert graphic designers and animators.

During 2009, OPTICOACOUSTICI embarked on a new venture. Film Distribution animation and compositing. Collaborating companies include AUDIO VISUAL Entertainment, ARTFREE, FICTION PICTURES, NEW STAR and ELEMENT. Film Distribution was the next natural step to support National and Private Broadcasting networks as well as PREMIUM clients namely newspapers including Daily Press Group, Pigasos Ekdotiki A.E, Eleftheros Typos and Apokalypseis.

During 2011, OPTICOACOUSTICI embarked on subtitling services for IPTV specifications.
